Reba nodded, shading in some details on the dragon's scales. At the mention of Ken's name, she glanced towards the door, her eyes flickering up at Ryan. Reba sat upright, stretching her arms abover her head. "You know I love that we don't keep secrets, right? Because I hate being lied to or decieved, but I feel like keeping this secret might make me explode. So I'm going to tell you." Reba whispered, leaning in close to Ryan. "You know earlier when you asked what's up with those two?" She gestured towards the door, checking over her shoulder before continuing. "Well, when Kodi and I went to get food I asked him what was wrong. At first he was hesitant to tell me but I convinced him to tell me. And well he's having quite the dilemma..." Reba swallowed, her gaze falling to the floor. She felt ashamed as if she had done something wrong and she was paranoid of what Ryan might think. "He told me that he likes Kennedy and I was fine with that confession but that wasn't the complicated part. He also said that he likes me." She laughed nervously, wringing her hands together in her lap. "I mean, me? Really? That's stupid, right Ryan?" Reba lifted her gaze for his approval or lack of. "Don't tell anyone that I told you. I told him he had to make up his mind but I respected Kennedy too much for that, you know? That makes me feel so whorish and I haven't even done anything." Reba rolled her eyes and stood up. "That's what all the tension is."

Ryan listened as Reba finally clued him in on what was going on. Yeah, he really had been missing out. "He likes both of you? That asshole!" Ryan said, maybe a little too loudly. Not that he should be judging his best friend so harshly, but the news was shocking. He couldn't help it. "No, it's not stupid...well it's stupid that he likes both of you but not stupid that he likes you. Why shouldn't some guy like you?" he asked with a raised eyebrow. He really couldn't believe this. How had all of this drama been going on without him having any clues. "You aren't a whore and you haven't done anything wrong. This is Kodi's mess and he has to fix it, which I guess if he hurts one of you in the process I'll....beat him with my cruches or something...." he said, frowning. "Do you like him too?" he asked.

Reba listened to Ryan, shaking her head. "Don't say that Ryan. Either way someone will be hurt, stuff like this never turns out good for anyone. Look at you getting all upset over nothing." Reba just shook her head, "It's not our problem. I honestly want no part of it but he dragged me into it. So she'll be mad with me if she ever finds out. I shouldn't have told you. I told him I wouldn't tell anyone." Reba hadn't given much thought to his last question, a frown on her face as she met his gaze. "I guess not. No. I don't know Ryan. I never think of you guys as more than friends, cute sure but never beyond that. It's a respect thing." Reba nervously patted his arm, "Don't get confrontational with him. I don't know where this came from and I don't think he does either. He's got to deal with that." She ran her fingers through her hair, letting out a low moan. "It's all so awkward though."

Ryan's face scrunched up in contemplation as he took in Reba's words. So Kodi supposedly liked both Kennedy and Reba, but Reba claimed she didn't know if she liked him back. He already had somewhat of an idea as to how Kennedy felt about the situation, but over all it was just confusing. Kodi had really dug a hole from himself this time. Finally he threw his hands up in the air in surrender. "You know, I'm going to do the smart thing and just play dumb and try to stay out of all of this. I don't see how not liking us is a respect thing, obviously Kodi doesn't share the same views. I guess it's not a bad thing if you like him too... But yeah kind of awkward," he said with a sigh. "Yeah the cripple is just going to pretend he's too drugged up to understand this and stay out of it. Thanks for telling me though...I think," he said. At least, he kind of hoped to stay out of it. That might not last for long. He would just have to wait and see what played out. "Of course, with all of this going on maybe I really shouldn't let you all be in here all of the time. The tension isn't healthy for my recovery," he said with a grin.

"When you take a friendship, bond, whatever and try to turn it into something else...it changes things. It could be for the better or worse and I don't want to take that chance." Reba shrugged it off, grabbing some hand sanitizer from the wall. "I shouldn't have told you. You don't need any added stress to your life, just good vibes." She rubbed her hands together vigorously, trying to get the Sharpie marker off of her hands. "Look at your dragon. I think it's pretty awesome, even in black and white." Reba grabbed some of the fries, eating them slowly. "I forgot how hungry I was." She chuckled at his statement about kicking them out of the room. "Kick out everyone who's acting all weird. Not me. I'm playing dumb too, as long as he doesn't tell her, I feel fine." She walked to the window, snapping her fingers. "We should get you some music in here and one of those little plastic basketball hoops so you can hoop from the bed! We can play HORSE." Reba looked back at him, leaning her back against the window. "We can make this party central."

"Well good vibes are good but I'm glad to be...not kept in the dark," Ryan replied with a shrug. At least he now knew why everyone around here was acting so weird. As she finished the drawing, he sat up to take a better look at it. "Technically it's in black and neon green but...yeah it's pretty awesome. It makes me feel like...Bruce Lee or something," he joked, watching Reba as she walked around the room. He quirked an eyebrow at her suggestion, amused by the thought. "Well that all does sound pretty legit but I'm locking all of you out. Well not really but I'm not going to just sit in here. You guys may want to but I'm sick of just sitting in here. The doctor said they'd get me some crutches. I'll be out hobbling all over the place," he told her. He hated being cooped up for too long, it made him feel lazy.

There it was. He knew she was absolutely torn apart by it, who wouldn't be? After all their years of friendship, he felt he had tossed it all away after admitting what he thought. It wanted to say that it was all a lie and that he did love her, but it wouldn't feel right. His feelings about her were the truth, and if he wasn't so afraid of her, they might have had a chance. In fact, it was almost certain there was a chance.
Kodi bit his lower lip as she looked to him with those eyes; her cheeks rosy red and her voice so quiet. She looked so child like and cute, he didn't understand why he doubted her. Quickly he pulled her into a tight hug, not wanting to let go. "I love you too." he whispered to her. "But I just can't, I'm sorry." he continued to hold her tightly, hoping that she would not fight back and instead hug him back. All he wanted to do now was to cheer her up and make it seem as if nothing ever happened. Maybe that was exactly what he was going to do. He will not have her return to that room a total wreck; not after what he said. She deserved to be happy.

"Its probably what's best for you," She paused, "I only want the best for you,and If I'm not the best than your stuck." She whispered, allowing herself to cry quietly on his shoulder for a moment or so, before breaking the hug. She felt so light, like she was floating. As she broke up the hug, her tears continued to flow freely down her cheeks, and she avoided eye contact with him. It broke her heart to think that was possibly the last Kodi hug she'd ever have. "Can you tell Ryan I'm going to go shower, and I'll come back and stay the night with him. He can't be here all by himself." Kennedy whispered. She gave one last look at him, torn. Part of her wanted to jump into his arms and give him one huge hug, and the other part was the anger inside of her rising slowly. Sighing she turned slightly, "I'll see you around." She said a little louder this time.
As Kennedy emerged from the medical center, she was a complete wreck. Falling apart worse then she had been in there, anyone walking by would've thought that someone close to her just passed away. As she walked away towards her cabin she angrily kicked the snow infront of her, a final thought rising in her mind. There was only one other girl Kodi spent time with, Reba. She had to be the "Someone else" and that angered her. What was so great about Reba, that she didn't have. All of these questions in her mind, swirled around her as she quickly took her shower, adjusting the water to the hottest setting possible. "This sucks." She moaned, resting her head against the shower walls, closing her eyes and letting the water beat down on her.

"I would like to see you maneuver through the snow with those crutches." Reba said, thinking for moment. Her mind was still trying to wrap around her own feelings about the situation. In her mind she honestly believed that she didn't like Kodi, seeing as these feelings had never crossed her mind before his admission. "I don't know Ryan," She blurted, looking up from the drawing on the napkin. "I don't know if I like him or not. I don't know how to feel. I mean, if I did like him even a little bit, think of how awkward and wrong that would be that?" Reba ate another fry, "Guys are more emotionally confused than girls.

Ryan chuckled at the thought. Hobbling around in the snow probably wouldn't work so well. Of course, he could always just hang around the lodge. He was caught off guard when Reba suddenly started talking about Kodi again. Well, at least that proved that she didn't not like him. "Well...if you like him and he likes you then obviously it isn't awkward. I don't know, this is going to sound corny but I'm like the love guru so just...follow your heart. Wow that sounded really corny, sorry," he said, grinning despite himself. "It's only awkward if you make it awkward. I don't really know what else to say. It's something you two need to figure out I guess," he told her, rolling his eyes at her last comment.

Reba nodded, "You're right. We need to talk about it all. I'm sorry, I'm not going to bring it up anymore." She leaned back over the napkin, resuming her drawing. Even though the sketch had no form, she felt her emotions ebb onto the napkin through the pen. This was the only time that she could think with a clear mind. She always felt awkward whenever relationships came into play. The whole lovegame was difficult for her to grasp. The few times she'd actualy had a boyfriend, she would fimd herself aggravated and feel suffocated. God, that sounded like her mom's explanation for leaving them. Reba shuddered at the thought, hoping that abandon gene had not passed along to her.

Kennedy's tears crushed his heart, even more so when he looked to her as they streamed down her cheeks after she had pushed away from the hug.
"Kennedy wait, don't go." he said but her back was already turned to him as she walked away. He cursed under his breathe for making her feel this way regretting every moment that this ever happened. He wanted to just turn back time and reverse the events so that he could keep his damn thoughts to himself. This was why he never spoke about what bothered him inside. Everything always went spiraling down after expressing his concern for something that deeply bothered him. Never again in his life will he ever say something again. This was just too much. Their friendship seemed quite possibly ruined right now, and she would even bother to come back and listen. Then again, he would have understood why.
With a big huff he punched the wall in frustration before resting his head against it, taking deep breathes to try and soothe his rush of anger. This should have never happened... he kept repeating to himself in his head. With that he gave leaned away from the wall and held the door handle to Ryan's room, thinking whether he should return to see his friends or not. however, after punching the wall, he might have assumed they were frightened, and ti was probably best to just enter and tell him that did it. With a heavy sigh he turned the knob and entered the room, his expression stern and his jaw clenching before he closed the door behind him and made his way to one of the chairs and sat down with his head on his hand and the other resting on his lap, obviously quite stressed.

"You'll figure it all out. No worries," Ryan promised Reba. He opened his mouth to say something else but was cut off as they heard a sudden 'thud' noise. That didn't sound good. "Is someone getting murdered out there?" he asked with a nervous chuckle. His question was partially answered as Kodi came into the room a moment later, looking....well, pissed off. "Hey where's Kennedy? Is everything okay?" he asked Kodi, frowning. He had a feeling he knew exactly what was going on.

The thud jarred her from her thoughts, and she jerked her head towards the door. "It sounds worse than murder," Reba mumbled, putting the pen down on the napkin. When the door opened and Kodi stood there , Reba could tell something was off kilter. A frown appeared on her face, unsure of what exactly to say or do. Then Ryan spoke, practically saying 'Oh I know what's up'. She shot him a look. Way to be discreet about everything. The guilt spread across her face and she couldn't lift her head to even look at him. Reba picked at the edges of the napkin, chewing her lip. Talk about awkward.

"She went to take a shower." he muttered under his breathe, not bothering to raise his head to look at them. "She's spending the night here."
With that he decided not to say anymore. It was obvious to Ryan that everything is definitely not okay, and even if it wasn't obvious he wasn't going to tell the truth. After his horrible mistake with Kennedy, he might as well just keep his mouth shut for the whole trip, or maybe at least pretend nothing happened and act optimistic. Either way, he wasn't going to speak about this again, hoping that at least by the end of the year that they would all come to terms with each other and forget about this. Hopefully.
