Ryan rolled his eyes, clearly in disagreement with her comment. "I fail to see how you're stupid. It's okay, I'm a good shoulder to cry on," he said, shrugging, a grin crossing his face. It was true, she was one of his best friend's and he'd do anything for her...even if that meant listening to her cry her eyes out; which was only bad because she was sad. "I mean, if you think you're stupid, look at me Ken. I'm the idiot who just threw my future away because I had to show off and break my leg...and I was on the verge of having a cry fest too," he told Kennedy with a sigh. He sat up, moving the pillow behind his back, in order to see her better. "I'd leave with you but, I'm not really going anywhere right now, I'm afraid," he mused. He felt bad now. She was really upset and he didn't feel like there was anything he could do to help her. "I guess I don't give very good advice but anything you need, I'm here. I'm not going anywhere anytime soon," he assured her with a sarcastic laugh.

Reba blinked for a moment, digesting the information he'd just told her. Of course she was shocked and a little confused, after all it had come from left field. "So, you like us both? I don't exactly know what to tell you honestly. That's something you need to decide privately." Reba shrugged. Guys didn't like her, it was unnatural and unheard of. She was Reba for God's sake. "If you do get with her or whatever, don't tell her you liked me. Ken is the closest thing to a female friend I have and I value my friggin nose." Reba laughed at her little joke, weaving her hands together in her lap. "What made you like me? Out of curiosity because I've only been "liked" because of what someone wanted from me." She admitted quietly, the revelation that made her question herself constantly.

Kennedy let out a small laugh, "You aren't going anywhere, unless I pick you up and carry you out." She smiled, looking at Ryan, this was probably the most of her feelings she'd ever shared with him. And now she was hoping he didn't think of her as an emotional nut case. "Thank you Ryan," She paused, gently resting her hand on his shoulder and giving it a small squeeze, "Really. I appreciate you always being here for me. No matter what." she dropped her hand, looking around the room before she looked back to him. Sighing, she thought about what he said, about throwing away his future. "What if you sent in a video, of all of your highlights. Do you think a school would look at that?" She asked curiously, knowing that someone somewhere had to have filmed at least a couple of his games.

Ryan returned the smile. "Hey, any time. I got your back," he promised her. He couldn't guarantee everything would be okay. He couldn't guarantee that things would work out with Kodi. The only thing he could guarantee was that he would be there for her and he intended to keep that promise. "Just keep your chin up. You're a pretty amazing person and if he can't see that then he's...blind," he added after a moment of thought. His expression darkened slightly as she mentioned basketball again. So much for not thinking about it. Still, maybe he needed to try and think positive about it. Maybe he wouldn't make it to Kansas or something but he was still good. His name was out there. He could still get a team to offer him a scholarship as long as he could be recovered and playing again before the end of the summer. "Well that won't be hard to find. Coach records every game and I'm sure he'll tell me to do that. I guess that might help out. Maybe I shouldn't give up on it yet," he mused.

Kennedy blushed slightly, she let his words settle in, she wasn't sure how he could think she was so amazing, when she didn't even feel that way about herself."I think you're more amazing, you are far better at everything ever." She complimented him, her eyes slightly wandered to a clock nearby, "They're taking forever." She grimaced, thinking about what could be going on with Reba and Kodi. It took her a minute, to stop feeling so selfish, and just enjoy her time with Ryan. She could worry about Kodi and Reba another time. Kennedy looked to the cast on the boys leg, "So.. When can I sign that bad boy?" She asked smirking.

Ryan let out a sarcastic "ha" at Kennedy's comment. "Yeah, I'm so great that I just broke my leg. Talk about being amazing. But thanks, it does take talent to be as good looking as I am," he said, only half kidding. At least his ego seemed to be recovering from the injury, that was good at least. He let out a sigh as she mentioned Kodi and Reba. It almost sounded like she thought something was going on between the two. Then again, maybe there was. He tended to be oblivious to such things. He looked towards his cast, which (to no one's surprise) was neon green. "Hm...well I guess it's only right that the first person to sign it should be a good looking girl, so I guess you can sign it now," he said, shrugging.
((Haha so today I decide Ryan's theme song would be "I'm Sexy and I Know it" by LMFAO because that song really does fit him, at least how he sees himself ha))

Yeah, I know... he thought to himself. It was obvious he would have decide on his own; choosing a girl to love should never be anyone else's task. He didn't need Reba telling him that.
Her little joke did make him smile, dropping his hands from his face and looking to her as she shook his head. "Of course I wouldn't. I value my nose too.' he chuckled. Kodi knew Ken well enough to assume she would punch both him and Reba for admitting that he liked Reba; at least after pulling that stunt on Alex earlier. He didn't realize she could punch that hard, especially since she was tiny.
Her question made him silent for a moment; looking to her with a serious expression written across his face. He thought it might have been noticeable of why he liked her, but women tend to think low of themselves and don't see what he see's in them. At least that's what some of them told him. "Well, I think you're really funny...in a dark, twisted kind of way." for a moment he tried to stay serious but couldn't help but smile. "And I think you're very pretty." Kodi never thought Reba would take this so easily. She didn't seem jealous or angry, just completely calm and happy. Maybe she was happy about it? Or maybe she was hiding her anger with a smile? Either way, he absolutely loved how well she was taking it, and it even gave him more of a reason to like her than before. Yet, he wished he didn't feel so distant from Kennedy. After telling Reba what he felt, it seemed as though he was drifting away from Ken entirely; including their friendship. He felt like he was betraying her already before they were even in a relationship. He just felt absolutely horrible inside and at the same time, unbelievably happy. It wasn't right.

"Well, your ego hasn't seemed to take a hit one bit, has it?" Kennedy smirked, she hopped off the bed and wandered out to the nursing station, the nurses heaved a huge sigh when they saw her, thinking she might demand something, but she just wanted a sharpie. When she returned to Ryan she was armed with a sharpie, "You know, I think that those pain meds must have given you blurry vision." she paused, pondering the best spot to sign his cast. "I should not be the first person to sign." Anxiously, she tapped the closed sharpie against her lips, sighing. Finally she decided on the best place to sign, and so in big, cute curly letters she wrote "Kennedy <3" And that was it.

"Not really. Does it ever?" Ryan asked with a raised eyebrow, watching as she left the room. It was probably the first time he had been alone all day and it gave him a moment to actually just relax and think. It sucked that his parents were out of town so they couldn't come get him and he was stuck here until the school went back. None of his family lived nearby. At least his friends were around. Granted, they all seemed to be acting kind of weird. Kodi was just being weird...Kennedy was freaking out because of Kodi. The only normal one was Reba. Maybe with their little trip to get food, it would give everyone a few minutes to just relax a little. He wasn't really in the mood to be dealing with a bunch of drama, of course, he would put up with it to help out any of his friends.
Then there was Kennedy. She just seemed so upset about this whole thing with Kodi. He still wasn't entirely sure why. He wanted to help her out but he just wasn't sure what he could do. He was glad to have her around though, even if he almost thought she would rather be elsewhere...or away from Kodi at least. Just her presence seemed to cheer him up...but that's what best friends did...right?
As she came back in, his first thought was how nice the sharpie smelt. "Those meds did something to me. I feel kind of out of it...but my vision isn't blurry. I have perfect vision so just hush and sign," he laughed, watching her as she came and signed his cast. "Nice, now those other two goons need to sign it and it will officially be the coolest cast ever," he said.

Reba felt the blood rushing to her face, still very unsure of what to say it how tp feel. The only thing she could think about was how Kodi's revelation might damage their friendship. "You know, in the past I would always find myself in a conflict within. I don't want to 'influence' your opinion toward either of us." Reba took a deep breath, "But I think that its a decision you need yo make. I've never been big on relationships anyway because I always got hurt." In a way it was somewhat refreshing to hear his admission. It let her know she wasn't the only emotionally confused person around. She stood and ran her fingers through her hair. "Let's go get Ryan's taco."

His stomach twisted into a knot after she seemed to have tensed up. Was it wrong that he liked her? Should he have regretted telling her? She admitted she was big on relationships because of her fear, but he didn't want to make her feel as though she should be telling him to not be with her. He wanted to assure her that he wouldn't dare to hurt her; but those worse should have been for someone else.
Kodi bit his lower lip after she had dismissed their conversation. He almost didn't blame her for it; thinking he might have felt just as awkward too if someone admitted having feelings for him and his best friend at the same time. He wanted to just go up and kiss her on the cheek as a thank you, but that would have definitely cause tension that he did not want. Instead he kept silent and nodded. He stood up after her and made his way towards the food line to order. Even if Kennedy didn't ask, he would have gotten her something anyways. Maybe it would give him a chance to talk to her for a bit and see how she was doing. After all, they had barely spoken for most of the trip, and now with Ryan hurt, she must have felt awful.

Kennedy laughed slightly, walkIng over and taking the chair Kodi had been in next to Ryan's bed. She folded her small legs beneath her and yawned. "this has been the longest day ever." she commented, looking to Ryan who had an almost peaceful look on his face. "Has the medicine knocked most of the pain out yet?" she asked thoughtfully. Right now she mostly felt bad for spilling her problems out on Ryan when he was in this situation. His cheerful answers and compliments had really helped her to cheer up though. The silence in the whole medical center really helped her to relax too. There was no drama and yelling and she would do anything to keep it that way.

"Yeah, it doesn't hurt so bad now. Of course, I only vaguely remember the pain when I first hurt it," Ryan responded with a shrug. There was a slight throbbing but overall, it wasn't too bad thankfully. He looked away from his leg, looking at Kennedy who looked dead on her feet. "You look exhausted. Maybe you should go back to your cabin and get some sleep. A nice rest in a comfy bed really helps and I'll be fine around here," he suggested. He didn't really want her to leave, but she really did look like she was exhausted. "Don't be miserable on my account," he added, slightly amused.
