"Oh gosh, don't even put those thoughts into my mind. Just stop before you scar me for life," Ryan laughed. He didn't want any details on Kodi and Reba's relationship...especially what they may or may not be doing after the dance. Luckily, Kennedy changed the subject, allowing Ryan to move his thoughts away from Kodi and Reba. A frown crossed his face as she spoke. "So you think, because you think you're a bad dancer that I'm going to want to ditch you for someone else?" he asked with a raised eyebrow. Okay, so he could probably accomplish that but...she couldn't be that bad. The fact that she even suggested he ditch her, however, was almost insulting. "Gee, I know I don't have the best-er-record but come on, you can't really think I'd ditch you just because you weren't a 'good' dancer? You really think I'd stoop that low...ah well, I guess you have a point but still!" he said, shaking his head. So maybe last year at prom he had sort of....ditched his date. She had been a real bimbo and then that cheerleader was really coming onto him but...he wouldn't do that to Kennedy! "That's not going to happen," he added after a moment.

Kennedy just laughed, "Don't pretend that last year never happened Ryan." She teased, turning to offer him a smile. "And good, it better not happen. Or someone is not getting into my house tonight, and I'll find a new cuddle buddy." she added, hoping to get a rise out of him. Twisting a curl in her hand, Kennedy looked around the sleek car, "Damn." She whispered, "Your car is so sexy.." she continued to look through it. "This really puts my little mazda to shame." Kennedy was nervous for some reason, and it was really showing. She was mostly nervous about other girls, running their mouths about her dress. Walking in was probably going to be one of the most awkward moments of her night.

"Yeah, I don't think you'll need to worry. You aren't a bimbo. I'm not a complete jerk and believe it or not, I actually like you so...no worries," Ryan assured Kennedy. "However, finding a new...cuddle buddy would be a low blow," he added, faltering as he forced the words 'cuddle buddy' out of his mouth. It was one of those cheesy, Kodi things. He chuckled, hearing her compliment his car. "Well thanks. I do have pretty good tastes and...well, a sexy car fits me pretty damn well, I'd say," he said, grinning. It truly was one of his dream cars. Obviously he'd much prefer some fancy, expensive sports car...like a Lambo or something but...you couldn't beat a Mustang. "Hey, everything okay?" he asked, looking over at her curiously...causing him to have to make a quick swerve as they narrowly hit the car in front of them. Well...no one ever said he was a safe driver.

"I'm fine, just nervous.." She admitted, watching him nearly hit the car ahead of them, "And you mister. both eyes on the road please. You can stare at my hot bod later." She chuckled, leave it to Ryan to compare his car to himself. That was one sure thing about Ryan, not matter what he'd always think of himself very very highly. Even when his leg was broken. Mostly it just cracked her up.
"I don't want girls to call me a slut or something like that." Kennedy continued on the nervous subject, "And I most certainly do not want to get kicked out." She added, now heavily considering the dress code, that she'd completely ignored when buying the dress. "I don't know." She mumbled, thinking way too much about it.

Ryan smirked at Kennedy's comment. "As you can see, we haven't gotten in any wrecks. I'm perfectly capable of driving with my eyes off the road. It's not my fault that you're so distracting," he retorted. His gaze managed to stay on the road for a minute, but once she went on to talk about what was bothering her, he was glancing at her once again. This time, at least, he managed to alternate from the road to her. It really would ruin things if they were to...die or something. "If anyone calls you a slut, it's just because they're jealous that the hottest guy in school is totally into you. If we get kicked out, we'll just say screw them and go have our own prom...but I'm pretty sure I can convince anyone wanting to kick you out to change their minds. It's going to be a great night so just take a deep breath and relax," he said simply.

Kennedy drew in a deep breath, then slowly let it out."Okay. Not worrying is easier said than done. But I'm going to trust you." She smiled shaking her head, "Although, our own prom does sound pretty awesome." She let her mind wander for a few minutes before snapping back into reality. She shifted in her seat, so she could face him better, "I'm distracting huh?" She asked, "I could say the exact same about you. Sometimes I can't even think clearly when you're nearby." She laughed, trying to keep it non-cheesy,but completely honest. "You know my Math grade has dropped drastically since you transferred into my class."

Reba thought silently for a moment before nodding her head. "Fine. Half and half." From outside she could hear the music pumping. Reba intertwined her fingers with his, giving his hand a tight squeeze. "Do you think it's very obvious whats going to happen after prom? My sister kind of gave me this look last night. Then she got really giggly and told me to tell her everything." Reba stepped up onto the curb, holding up her dress with her free hand. "I hope it isn't like obvious. Kodi, we'll be in Hawaii tomorrow." Excitement glittered in her eyes, feeling that same feeling as the first time she had gone to Disney World.

Ryan nodded his head in agreement with Kennedy's statement. "That's right. Trust me. If more people could realize that logic, the world would be a much better place," he joked. "It does sound good, doesn't it? It'd be a lot less crowded... No rules...the list of positives goes on and on. However, I'm sure this will be a good experience too," he said. The school was in sight now and now the challenging task of finding a parking spot was at hand. He should have come earlier and put traffic cones to in a spot to reserve it or something. His hazel eyes lit up with amusement as Kennedy talked about their math class. "Yeah, I have that affect on people. I'm sorry that your math grade has dropped though. If it helps, mine isn't that great either...but sadly I can't blame you for that, I manage to fail on my own. Though I'm sure if you were to pop in while I was practicing basketball...I'd miss all of my shots," he laughed. Well that might be a bit of an exaggeration but still... "Would it help if I just started skipping math from now on...or wore a bag over my head?" he suggested.

Kodi smiled after she had accepted his suggestion which made him more relaxed about their slight issue. It was good that she didn't seem willing to talk about it anymore and would rather pay attention to the present and having fun.
As the two of them walked towards the entrance; their hands holding tightly; Reba had mentioned about what was happening after prom. He raised a brow, looking to her after she had mentioned that her sister wanted to know all about it. It kind of made him feel...well he wasn't sure how to feel about that. At first he was slightly embarrassed knowing that it was her sister that had wanted to know. There was a faint blush in his cheeks after still thinking about it but it eventually faded once he began to speak up. "I think so, well, at least to the people who really know us. We just have that kind of vibe." The two of them reached to the entrance of the dance and he handed his ticket. "But i don't think it's something to worry about." he smiled.

"Mmm. I think you should wear a bag over your head." Kennedy laughed, "You're so popular, that if you put a bag over your head, by lunch time I guarantee at least ten other boys would be wearing bags over their heads." as they approached the school, the butterflies in her stomach began to take flight. "Oh, " She said surprised that he'd ever miss a basket, "I highly doubt that." Ken watched as some other people were walking towards the prom, she ran her eyes curiously over the girl's dresses, none quite like hers yet. She looked to Ryan, "Well, this prom will be fun. But the after party will be a blast too!" She agreed, suddenly feeling a wave of excitement for the dance. "This is going to be really cool." She squealed excitedly.

Reba passed over her ticket, staring up at Kodi. She had felt him freeze up at the mention of telling her sister. "That means you better do your best, otherwise you will get a bad review." Reba looked at him. The seriousness of her tone and facial expression made that statement believable however she laughed at him. "You didn't really think I was going to tell her did you? That's a private issue that I will only discuss with my girlfriends when I get older." She laughed again, hitting him to lighten up. "Come on, don't pretend like guys don't talk about girls like that. We know."

Do his best? That didn't seem like much of a question, knowing that he was confident enough of what he could do to not have her doubt him. Though, he was careful not to show too much of that confidence and merely looked to her with a mischievousness glint in his eyes and laughed lightly along with her, stepping inside the ballroom.
"Well I don't know how much you tell your sister anyways." he chuckled back as she lightly punched him. "Oh I'm not pretending, but I mean, I just find it different telling a sister than telling one of your 'girlfriends.'" he mocked her, as he quoted her with his fingers. "I'll just say I don't care and you can say whatever you want.

"You're right, soon it'd be the latest fashion trend. You'd see Justin Bieber, Kim Kardashian...and probably even like, Snookie wearing them. Paper bags...they're all the rage," Ryan laughed. Moments later, he was pulling into an empty parking spot. Senior prom. It really was here now. "You're right, this is going to be great. I'm glad you're finally excited," he joked. He got out of the car, coming around to open the passenger door so Kennedy could get out. "See, aren't you glad you got stuck with me instead of Kodi?" he asked her teasingly.

Kennedy got out, "Every day. Really." She answered his question simply. Kodi was a wonderful friend, but he was just that. A friend was all she wanted out of Kodi anymore, and he was too adorable with Reba to ever ruin that. "And, we make a super hot couple, so there was that perk when I started dating you as well." She added, reaching for his hand. "I wonder how they decorated it in there.." She thought outloud as they made their way towards the school. Since Ryan's leg was no longer broken his strides were much bigger than hers, so a step to him was like two for her. However she'd gotten pretty good at keeping up these days, which was a huge relief for her. But in heels, which she rarely wore she had to walk a lot more cautiously than usual.

"Oh I see how it is now. You only like me for my body and because I make you look good. Now the truth comes out," Ryan teased, giving Kennedy a light shove. He knew that wasn't true, of course. Actually, it would really suck if it was true. Talk about a low blow. Luckily, he was sure that wasn't the case. He answered her question about decorations with a shrug. 'I have no idea. I guess you'll see soon enough," he pointed out. He really could care less about how everything looked. He and Kennedy both looked good so that was all that mattered. As they walked up to the school, he used his free band to adjust his tie. He always seemed to be doing that whenever he wore one. It drove him crazy to have it crooked in any way at all. He was somewhat of a neat freak. "So, what would you say if I told you I bad forgotten to get tickets?" He asked randomly. He had them, but it was just a random question. If she thought he was being serious, then it would be all the more entertaining.
